Does your iom2 device not power up? Is the screen blank? Does the battery seem like it is dead and it will not accept a charge via the USB cord and your computer?
Most often, this is a temporary situation with the battery draining too low. A simple RESET PROCESS will access the built in control board battery to allow the charge to be accepted.
This is a part of the device power use and preservation system.
The device will go into sleep mode quickly when in use to conserve battery charge and it also will go into a semi-permanent sleep mode when the battery gets drained to 'empty'. There is an internal battery which can be accessed via a reset button and process; this will allow the iom2 device to begin charging again with the USB cord and a computer usb connection.
Review the process of charging and then engage the RESET PROCESS.
iom2 NOT CHARGING
With regard to charging your iom2, are you using the charging cable that came with the device? This charging cable (black with 3-leaf logo) is specifically made for it. While it is a standard size, the iom2 USB cable has a little longer male end (to insert into the iom2). Other standard USB cables may work depending on the length of the plug, but we can not guarantee that other cables will work.
Additionally, you may also try other USB ports on your computer to rule out the possibility that there is an issue with the port. This is rare but sometimes has been a solution for some.
Although, the device can charge with the use of a usb adapter and a wall outlet AC power, we HIGHLY recommend you ONLY USE A COMPUTER TO CHARGE THE IOM2 DEVICE as it was designed.
The issues reported which resulted in battery failure are more prone when using AC power charging.
Are you seeing any messages on the iom2 device at all? Any further information could help better diagnose the issue.
iom2 RESET
If the above charging process does not work, and your iom2 device is not showing any power or messages on the screen when you plug it in to your computer, a RESET is the next step.
Please plug the iom2 in to charge using the black Unyte USB cable (has a 3-leaf logo on the USB end) and use a computer to charge the iom2. NEVER use an adapter and AC wall outlet for a RESET.
Next, insert a small pin or paper clip into the tiny hole beside where the USB cable connects. Inside is a tiny reset button. Pushing it very gently, then release it when you hear a click or feel the button press in.
This will reset the iom2 and cause it to turn on and take charge again. Ensure you hear or feel a tiny click when you do this and then release the pin and small reset button. This will ensure the reset button is being pushed properly. Do not hold the button in or press too hard as it can jam or break the reset and device.
*Do not press the power button on the side at this time. Leave it alone.
Once you do this, leave the iom2 plugged in to charge for 3-6 hours.
This will reset and charge the iom2 device.
You should be all set to enjoy our meditations with the iom2.
Once the process is complete. Is the iom2 charged and showing power?
If this process has not been successful, please try again as we've had many cases of the second time being successful due to either the usb not being plugged in fully at the time of reset, the charge not being long enough (6 hours), or some unknown factor.
