Breathing, Breathwork and Coherence
During the biofeedback events, using your IomBlue sensors, sit still, avoid talking, chewing, drinking, etc. and practice slow, deep regular and rhythmic breaths aka “heart breath” (an X seconds breathing in, X seconds breathing out where X = 5-8 seconds depending on the most comfortable breathing cycle for you – see SETTINGS for more information). As you do this you will see your scores increase as you increase your heart rate variability and your Coherence. Using the SETTINGS you can adjust your breathing cycle to best fit your needs.
NOTE: Breathing Cycle is the total number of seconds in your “heart breath” which is determined by adding the number of seconds breathing in added to the number of seconds breathing out. For most people this is roughly 10 seconds total.
When you are breathing in this program to clear your mind, the biofeedback component is taking your heart rate signals and interpreting them to show you how your breathing cycle can be trained to become deeper, slower and more regular. This type of “breathwork” has profound benefits to your mind and body, as well as to your mental and emotional state.
By increasing your coherence and using the heart breath (5-8 seconds in and 5-8 seconds out) to remain calm you will be increasing your coherence as you meditate or do the practice events. This biofeedback training will help you in your daily life as your learn to react to challenges and tasks in a more calm, clear and relaxed manner.
As you do the meditations you can breathe the heart breath. This will help your heart rate fall into a resonant frequency commonly referred to as “Coherence”. This particular frequency is known as the strongest and most stabilizing one, and it is associated with many positive changes in the body. When you are in Coherence, you can expect to feel more positive emotions, and recover more easily and completely from stressful situations. As you perform the heart breath while meditating you help to train your mind and body to achieve this natural state of balance as you clear your mind.
The more you use Games of the Wild Divine the more you will become familiar and in tune with your body’s state of relaxation and your breathing cycle.

Opens the game to the beginning if never played or reset or to your last saved point in the game (see Gameplay below).

As you play Games of the Wild Divine: The Classics you will see an indicator that displays the quality of the IomBlue sensor signal. Red/Poor indicates that the Iom Sensors are not properly connected to the system/game or are not functioning properly. Green/Good indicates that sensors are connected and working properly.

Set Session Settings
Games of the Wild Divine: The Classics has a number of user settings that will let you create a personal experience each time you use the program. These settings can be changed each time you do a session in the program. The program also stores your last setting change each time you change them. When you are done press the “Save and Continue” button to proceed.
You can also access the session settings by clicking on the icon on the screen labeled “Settings” on the event selection screen (see below).
Games of the Wild Divine: The Classics content consists of 6 biofeedback events. They are presented on the Biofeedback Event Screen.
Step 1 – Select Event
Click on the event you wish to do. All events are unlocked and available at all times.
Step 2 – Intro
Each biofeedback event has a spoken introduction on the objectives. You can move past this and to the event by pressing the “SKIP INTRO” button.
Step 3 – Begin
When you are ready to proceed simply press the “BEGIN EXERCISE” button to proceed.
Step 4 – Event Completed
When the biofeedback event has been successfully completed press the “END GAME” button to be taken back to the “Select Event” screen.
Scores and Scoring
The score for each event is equal to difficulty level chosen in settings when the biofeedback event is done. Example – Choose “Difficulty Setting” of “51” and complete the biofeedback event and your score would be “51”.
